Many patients who choose to seek dental treatment abroad often overlook the dental guarantee. Likewise, many clinics do not provide sufficient information about the valid warranty conditions. A simple indication that a treatment comes with a 5-year warranty hardly explains anything in terms of what is covered.
We rely on our high-quality treatment methods and offer our patients a comprehensive transparent dental guarantee. Therefore, we would like to inform you about all the details of the Dentalprof warranty conditions before you decide. Below you will find one of the most comprehensive guarantees for patients seeking treatment at home or abroad. The Dentalprof team of dentists, surgeons and dental technicians does everything possible to guarantee you reliable treatment at the highest level.
In addition to the standard dental guarantee, in the event of malpractice by the dentist, we offer a contribution to the cost per return flight up to 150 € (as proof of payment, an invoice of the flight costs in PDF format is requested). In case of laboratory error, we assume all necessary dental and laboratory costs for the correction. For small adjustments, we make a one-time contribution to corrective treatment in your home country.
The provision of corrective treatments, repairs, including any replacement of the original treatment, does not extend the dental guarantee beyond its original duration.
Please note that the number of patients who need to return for corrective treatment is very low. However, you can be sure that you will be offered a legitimate warranty in case of problems. In the event of a dispute, the Turkish courts shall have jurisdiction.
Below you will find all Dentalprof Guarantee periods and conditions for the respective dental treatments:
Dental Implants - Lifetime guarantee
The implant screw itself is guaranteed for a lifetime against fissure or breakage. If the dental implant fails (global statistics show a failure rate of only about 2-3%), a one-time free replacement by Dentalprof is guaranteed.
Dental Crowns / Full Veneers - 5 years guarantee
Dental crows / Full Veneers and Dental Implant Crowns are guaranteed for a period of 5 years against breakages, chipping or cement failure. If you require minor repairs, such as a white composite restoration or a re-cementing of your Dental Crowns / Full Veneers, the clinic will make a one-time maximum contribution of 100 € for the solution of the problem in your home country.
Dental Bridges - 5 years guarantee
Dental bridges are guaranteed for a period of 5 years against breakages, chipping or cement failure. If you require minor repairs such as a white composite restoration or a re-cementing of your Dental Bridge, the clinic will make a one-time maximum contribution of 100 € so that you can solve the problem in your home country.
Dental Laminate Veneers - 3 years guarantee
Dental Laminate Veneers have a 3-year warranty against breakages, chipping or cement failure. If you need minor repairs such as a white composite restoration or a re-cementing of your Laminate Veneers, the clinic will make a one-time maximum contribution of 100 € for solving the problem in your home country.
Dental Lumineers - 3 years guarantee
Dental Lumineers are guaranteed for a period of 3 years against breaking, chipping or cement failure. If you need minor repairs such as a white composite restoration or a re-cementing of your Lumineers, the clinic will make a one-time maximum contribution of 100 € for solving the problem in your home country.
Dental Fillings - 1 years guarantee
Dental fillings are guaranteed against failure for a period of 1 year. If you need minor repairs, the clinic will make a one-time maximum contribution of 30 € for solving the problem in your home country.
Inlays/Onlays - 2 years guarantee
Inlays and onlays are guaranteed for a period of 2 years against breaking, chipping or cement failure. If you need minor repairs such as a white composite restoration or a re-cementing of your inlay or onlay, the clinic will make a one-time contribution of 50 € for solving the problem in your home country.
Cosmetic dentures - 1 years guarantee
Cosmetic dentures are guaranteed for a period of 1 year against breakages. If you need minor repairs to your cosmetic prosthesis, the clinic will make a one-time contribution of 30 € for solving the problem in your home country.
Below is a list of treatments not covered by the Dentalprof Guarantee:
Root Canal Treatment
Due to the human body, we are unable to provide any form of guarantee for Root Canal Treatment.
Dental Post
Dental Posts are applied to weak teeth that need added strength and stability. It is often the case that Core Build Up or a Dental Crown is then placed over the post. Due to the human body and the damage that previously occurred to the tooth no form of guarantee is available for this treatment.
Dental treatments instigated by another dentist or clinic
If you have started the treatment in another dental clinic and we have been asked to continue/complete the treatment, responsibility and guarantee cannot be assumed for the entire treatment in the event of complications. We are therefore unable to provide any form of guarantee in this instance.
IMPORTANT:
Please note that if part or all your treatment is replaced under the terms of the dental guarantee, this replacement must be in the original color as consented to and signed for when the treatment was originally decided upon and provided. In the case of color change and other special change requests, the guarantee cannot be claimed, and this type of change can then only be provided at the current full cost
The Dentalprof Guarantee will be invalidated in the following circumstances:
When oral hygiene is neglected.
If the patient does not have a routine dental check-up and are unable to provide a Panoramic X-Ray and a Scale (once a year).
If the patient cannot provide the polishing required at least once a year (invoice required).
If the patient does not follow the instructions of the dentists / oral surgeons.
If the patient fails to fulfil their payment obligation.
If subsequent treatment is caried out to the treatment originally performed by Dentalprof – Ortodontist – has been carried out without the prior approval of our clinics, by another doctor / clinic (except for scale and polish treatments).
If removable restorations such as partial or full dentures are not properly kept and maintained.
In the case of temporary teeth, there is naturally no guarantee against breaking, chipping or cement failure.
If the patient’s gum tissue or bone recedes or deteriorates.
If nail biting is deemed to be a contributing factor to your dental issues.
Not attending any appointment given by the local dental clinic will void the guarantee in its entirety.
If the patient is involved with contact sports or participate in sports and related leisure activities that may cause dental health problems or injuries.
If the patient smokes, because smoking is a significant cause of dental problems.
The indulging in any activities or taking medicines/drugs that are known to artificially increase or lower your blood pressure.
In the event the patient wears tooth/ teeth grills or jewelry which is attached to the teeth, tongue or lips on a temporary or permanent basis.
The intake of herbal, other dietary supplements or prescription medicines that have not been specified during dental treatment.
In the event of accidental damage, e.g. falling off the prosthesis or damage by third parties.
If the same or similar dental issue continues to arise and is therefore considered a recurring or reoccurring issue that may be unrelated to the dentistry itself, the clinic reserves the right to advise you to visit a specialist or a medical professional for further tests that may be directly or indirectly related to dentistry. The responsibility of the costs incurred will be that of the patient. The avoidance of such advice will automatically void your dental guarantee.
If the dental implant migrates to whatever degree.
If the bone grafting is physically rejected.
If there is a general medical condition that has or has had adverse effects on the masticatory organ, jawbone or tissue – including but not limited to diabetes, epilepsy, osteoporosis, excessive X-ray radiation, mental disorders or chemotherapy.
If there is an appropriate selection of the color, shape and size of the dentures or dentures by the patient. During the preparation period, patients will be given the opportunity to choose their color preference. However, the clinic cannot be held responsible for the patient’s decision if they later decide that they do not like the color or shape they originally chose.
If excessive grinding / bruxism is present.
If there is a pregnancy, because pregnancy can be the cause of dental problems.
If the patient were pregnant at the time of treatment and have not disclosed this condition.
Occasionally, teeth suffer preparatory trauma during crown and bridge treatments, which can lead to root canal treatment. The dental clinic is not liable for problems that were not visible on the patient’s last X-ray and could not have been foreseen at the time of treatment.
If significant weight gain or loss occurs.
If gum protection is provided by the clinic and not worn as advised.
If the patient was under the age of 18 at the time of treatment and have not disclosed their actual age.
If the patient has been provided with a prescription and the prescription is not obtained or is obtained but not taken as per the instructions provided. In such event, the clinic reserves the right to void any and all aspects of the dental guarantee.
If the patient fails to return for the completion of dental treatment within 12 months of their last signed consent form, such treatments to include but not limited to, Dental Implants/ Implant Crowns and Dental Bridges after extraction.
To claim a dental correction or follow-up treatment under the Dentalprof Guarantee, please contact the clinic preferably in writing (by e-mail). If you report pain and you are urgently called to the Dentalprof – Ortodontist Clinic for a follow-up examination, the appointment must be made within 30 days of the date of the prescription. No contribution will be made towards the cost of the flight (as mentioned in the guaranteed conditions) if the request is made later than 30 days after the prescription of a follow-up treatment.
To make it easier for you to take the necessary leave, Dentalprof – Ortodontist can send a letter to your employer stating that you will have to travel to Turkey again due to clinical necessity.
